Fabio Fassetti ha conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Informatica, presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’UNICAL, nell’a.a.2002/2003 con voto 110/110 e lode e ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca il 15/2/2008, discutendo la tesi dal titolo “Discovering Exceptional Individuals and Properties in Data”.
Dal 1/3/2008 al 31/12/2008 ha svolto un tirocinio di ricerca dal titolo “Scoperta di conoscenza in ambienti spazio-temporali ubiqui”. Tale tirocinio è stato svolto presso l’ICAR-CNR e ISTI-CNR, entrambi del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.
Nel periodo Settembre-Dicembre 2008, ha svolto attività di studio e ricerca presso l’ISTI-CNR. Dal 20/4/2009 al 4/5/2009 ha ricevuto un incarico di collaborazione occasionale dall’ICAR-CNR con oggetto “Algoritmi di classificazione per la fraud detection”.
Dal 2/7/2009 al 31/7/2009 ha ricevuto un incarico di collaborazione occasionale dal Dipartimento DEIS dell’UNICAL con oggetto “Stesura di una survey sulle tecniche di data mining per la gestione di stream di dati”.
Dal 2/11/2009 al 31/10/2010 è stato in servizio come Assegnista di Ricerca presso il DEIS: tema di ricerca “Algoritmi di outlier detection”.
Dal 1/9/2011 al 16/12/2012 è stato in servizio come Assegnista di Ricerca presso il DEIS: tema della ricerca “Mining and Reasoning on Data with the Handling of Uncertainty”.
Dal 1/10/2012 al 31/3/2012, ha svolto un periodo di studio e ricerca presso la Technische Universiteit di Eindhoven.
Dal 17/12/2012 è in servizio presso l’UNICAL in qualità di Ricercatore Universitario.
PREMI E RICONOSCIMENTI.
Nel 2016, l’articolo “Discovering discriminative graph patterns from gene expression data” è risultato vincitore del “Best Paper Award”.
ENGLISH VERSION.
Fabio Fassetti received the Laurea degree in Computer Engineering with highest honors from the University of Calabria (UNICAL), Italy, in the academic year 2002/2003.
On February 15, 2008, he received the PhD in Computer and System Engineering from the UNICAL with a dissertation entitled “Discovering Exceptional Individuals and Properties in Data” and co-supervised by Prof. Luigi Palopoli and Dr. Fabrizio Angiulli.
From March 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008 he attended a post-doc research apprenticeship entitled “knowledge discovery in ubiquitous spatio-temporal environments” at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) under the direction of Giuseppe Manco and Fosca Giannotti.
From September 2008 to November 2008, he carried out study and research activities at the ISTI institute of the CNR in Pisa, Italy.
In October 2009, he won a research grant at UNICAL entitled “Outlier Detection Algorithms”.
From November 2009 to October 2010 he was a research fellow at UNICAL: research theme “Outlier detection algorithms”.
From September 2011 to December 2012, he was a research fellow at UNICAL: research theme “Mining and Reasoning on Data with the Handling of Uncertainty”.
From October 2012 to March 2012, he was a visiting scholar at the Technische Universiteit di Eindhoven.
From December 2012, he has been an assistant professore at UNICAL.
